What’s in “PianoWell” for Amateurs

The main thing that each musician should know about music education is that the main goal in learning to play any instrument is not to learn to press keys, but to develop all aspects of musical ear. It’s a developed musical ear that helps to improvise, play by ear and compose. It’s a developed musical ear that opens new worlds and new space for you, gives you freedom and opportunity for creativity. There’s no point in learning various patterns of notes and playing them from time to time before bed. It’s more important what will sound in your head, what you’ll be able to create in your head and bring to life on the instrument. Remember that the main task of a musician in learning is to develop his musical ear. And learning to play any instrument, including piano, can only be a mean or mediator in acquiring these qualities.

This is the main difference of the training that the “PianoWell” system offers from all other possible systems. No method deals with developing a musical ear in full measure. No method teaches to correctly express the conceived on the instrument in full measure. If you’ve already found a teacher then ask him what he can advise you to develop absolute pitch, internal ear, timbral ear, polyphonic ear, harmonic ear, dynamics ear, melodic-intonational ear, rhythmic ear and architectonic ear. I’m sure he won’t be able to advise you anything particular.

If you’re satisfied with a simple learning of pressing keys, control of correct count, signs, articulations, etc., including some additional theoretical knowledge, then any tutor will suit you. But if you’re a creative type of person, if you try to see a finer and more interesting world in any apparent action, then only the “PianoWell” training will suit you. You won’t get any satisfaction while training with other methods, and you enthusiasm will disappear with time. Don’t waste your time and money. Study with our distance learning programs using Skype and our textbooks.
